Handcrafted Wooden Bowls and Platters

Handcrafted in Co. Waterford, our collection of handmade wooden bowls and platters in Ireland reflects a lifelong dedication to working with natural timber and celebrating its unique beauty. Each piece is carefully shaped from ethically sourced wood, chosen for its character, grain, and natural form.

At the heart of this craft is Larry, our skilled artisan in Co. Waterford. Qualified as a Carpenter/Joiner in the mid-1970s, Larry has spent his entire life working with wood. For him, woodworking is a balance of creativity, technical skill, and problem-solving — a process he genuinely enjoys. He sees every piece of timber as something with potential, waiting to be revealed.

Larry’s approach is about transformation: taking something that was once alive and beautiful, and carefully working it on the wood turning lathe to create something functional, elegant, and enduring. Each bowl, platter or cremation urn becomes a unique expression of that journey — a perfect metamorphosis from raw wood to finished artisan piece.

These artisan wooden bowls and serving platters are designed to bring warmth, authenticity, and natural beauty into the home, while honouring the story of the wood itself and the craftsmanship behind it.
